1. List of Six Nominated members to Rajya Sabha

Total strength of Rajya Sabha members are 245 , 233 are selected from States and UT but 12 members are nominated by President. President can nominate in Rajya Sabha as per the provision given in article 80. These nominated personalities should have extra knowledge or renowned personality in 
the field of Science , Art , Social Service and Literature. 
So as per this provision in constitution , President Paranab Mukharjee has nominated six Members.
These six members are -----
1. Navjot Singh Sidhu
2. Subramanian Swamy
3. Marry Kom
4.  Suresh Gopi
5. Swapan Das Gupta

2. Panchayati Raj Day – 24th April
            Every year on 24th April , Ministry of Panchayati Rah celebrate Panchayati Raj Diwas . It was passed under the constitution 73 Amendment Act 1992 and came into force w.e.f. 24th April 1993 and came into force w.e.f 24th April 1993.  
            On this day , best performing Gram Panchayat are awarded with Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puruskar . On this day PM Narender Modi address to all panchayat of nation from Jamshedpur .  
3.   World Book and Copyright Day – 23rd April 
            This day was created by UNESCO ( United Nation Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization )  and was first time celebrated in 1995. This day is being celebrated on 23rd April. This day is celebrate to promote reading , Publishing and copyright.
4.  DDUGJY ( Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yozna ) 
            PM Narender Modi promise to nation on Independence day that , within 1000 Day remaining 18452 village would be electrified.
            Presently 7445 village have been electrified. In order to speedy completion of project , GVA ( Gram Vidyut Abhiyanta ) is monitoring.  During last week ( 18th April 2016 to 24th April 2016) 102 unelectrified village are electrified under DDUGJY.

2. Rahul Johri - First CEO of BCCI 
 Former Executive Vice President and GM of South Asia has been appointed as the first CEO of BCCI (Board of Cricket Control of India) .
 Appointment of Rahul Johri ( CEO ) is based on the recommendation of Justice R.C. Lodha Committee . R.C. Lodha committee recommends that management affair for BCCI should be done by separate professional CEO .
3. RBL – First private sector ban to launch dedicated branch for GOI’s dream project for start up 
 Previously RBL known as Ratnakar Bank Limited . RBL receives the honour as first private sector bank to open a dedicated branch for GOI’s startups project. 
 Nandan Nilekani ( Former Chairman of UIDAI ( Unique Identification ) ) inaugurated its dedicated branch at Koramangla . RBL founded in 1943 . It is one of the oldest private sector bank in India .
4. Silica Aerogel or Blue Air – World’s lightest material is developed by ISRO ( Indian Space Research Organization ) .
 ISRO Scientist have developed Silica Aerogel as Blue Air , which is world’s lightest synthetic material . Blue Air is developed at Vikram Sarabhai space centre Thiruvanthapuram . Blue Air is Thermal resistant and it contain 99% of Air . Blue Air can be useful in space technology because Rocket Engine can be insulated by this and ISRO is ready to use ‘Blue Air’ for Chandrayan – II mission. Blue Air or Silica Aerogel is used for making light cloth and can be used as a filler in Soldier’s uniform.
5. Earth Day
 Every year 22nd
 April is celebrated as Earth Day. First of all it was celebrated in 1970 , but now it is celebrated world wide . At present 193 countries celebrated it . This concept is coined by peace activist John Mcconnel.

1.  At Sikkim NIT ( National Institute of Technology ) Supercomputer named PARAM KANCHENJUNGA Uncover.

Supercomputer PARAM KANCHENJUNGA uncover at Sikkim NIT. As depicts from name that it named after Kanchenjunga Peak. This peak is spread in Nepal and Sikkim. 
This supercomputer is jointly developed by C-DAC and Sikkim NIT kkim.

2.   M C Marry Com selected as a AIBA ambassador for WWBC 
 (Women’s World Boxing Championship) 
 M.C. Marry Com ( Mangte Chungneijang Marry Com ) named as AIBA ( International Boxing Association ) ambassador for Women’s World Championship. She belongs to Kom tribal of Manipur. She is one of the ambassadors among eight ambassadors for world championship of AIBA in Astana Kazakhstan. 
3. Free internet service through WiFi has extended to 10 railway station by Google. 
 Google declare that , company has extended internet service through WiFi to 10 Railway station . 
List of 10 Railway stations are :- 
Vishakhapatnam , Bhopal , Pune , Kacheguda , Raipur , Ranchi , Bhubaneshwar , Vijaywada , Ernakulam 
 
4. There will be one year ban on sale of all type of Chewable Tobacco by Delhi Govt. 
 Delhi Govt. put ban of one year ban for manufacture, Store, distribution and sale of all type of chewable Tobacco. 
5. Shatrujeet Battle exercise has conducted by Indian Army in Rajasthan . 
 Main objective of this exercise was just to calculate the ability of Indian Army . This battle exercise conducted by Indian Army in Border area of Rajasthan . 
6. Bhimrao Ambedkar awas yozna for widow has launched by CM Raghubar Das of Jharkhand. 
 This scheme is launched by Jharkhand Govt. for widow. Main objective of this yozna is to create harmony and equality of Widows in Society. 
7. eNAM ( National Agriculture Market ) Portal is Launched by PM Narendra Modi. 
 In order to connect e – Mandi of various state , a portal named eNAM is launched by PM Narendar Modi. This portal is designed to develop a national grid for agricultural commodities. 
 Here I discuss one example in support for this. Current price of Onion in MP 30 Paisa / Kg . 
Farmers are compel to sold their Onion at 30 Paisa / Kg because there are not much trader in local area . 
When all the mandi of various state are connected , then traders of that place where price of Onion is 40Rs/Kg would be interested to buy Onion at 20 Rs/Kg . In other word we can say that there would we a compition & and give batter return to farmers . approximately 25 commodities are identify for online trading .till now 365 mandis have been granted approval.

1. IIT fee Hiked from upcoming Academic Session

Study in IITs will be costly from the academic session . There will be no fee for SC, ST , Disable students , and students belonging to poor section of society. Fees will be approximately double .  This new fee structure will be applicable only for fresh students and those who are already enrolled in various course of IIT will continue to pay fee according to old payment pattern.
2. Bombay High Court allows Inaugural match ( IPL) between Mumbai Indians and Rising Pune Supergiants . 
 On Thursday Bombay High Court permitted IPL Inaugural match between MI and RPS to be held at Wankhede Stadium on Saturday but decision on 19 other matches has been kept pending . BHC is disallowing these matches because of acute water shortage in the state. 
3. NIT ( National Institute of Technology ) Srinagar
 HRD minister allowed NIT students to appear for exams. later. The clash in NIT Sri Nagar starts after World T20 Semifinal Match. Some local students burst crackers and enjoy DJ party. By this act clashes start between outstation students and local students. 
4. B.B. Tandon Committee constituted by I&B ministry in order to monitor Government Advertisement. 

Three member committee constituted by Govt. of India . This committee is headed by B.B. Tandon ( Former Chief Election Commissioner ) other two members are Rajat Sharma and Piyush Pandey .
 This committee is constituted as per the direction given by SCI (Supreme Court of India). SCI had issued guidelines to regulate Govt. Advertisement as per the recommendation of Prof. NRM Menon Committee.

Padma Awards are given to recognise people’s distinguished contribution in various fields including Art, Social work, Education, Trade, Public Affairs, Science, Medicine, Literature, Industry , Civil Services  and among others.

Every year these awards are announced on the Republic Day Ceremony. President Pranab Mukharjee presented Padma award to 56 renowned personalities. President Pranab Mukharjee presented 43 Padam Shri , 8 Padam Bhushan , 5 Padam Vibhushan .
